Schaffer's Mill

This immaculate home was built in Schaffer's Mill, a gated community in the Truckee area just 15 minutes north of beautiful Lake Tahoe. The G.C. on this project was Catalyst out of Granite Bay, Ca. Diaz Masonry laid the foundation and stone work on this home. Summit Roofing out of Reno, Nv. fabricated and installed all the metal paneling on the flat roofs and the arched roofs as well, including all the shingles as well.

We started framing this project in mid August and around the last week of November we had the roof dried in. There was no steel on this house at all so there was a lot more engineering to make up the difference. The arched roofs were fun to build but very time consuming, after all was said and done, it gave the house a custom and appealing look.

The copper siding on the front of the house and the beautiful entrance patio with its huge wood pivot door is what I love about this house the most. The high vaulted ceiling's in the great room gives you a feel of a majestic mountain home. Inside the kitchen and family room we built coffered ceilings and this really gave it a touch of modern. This house was a fun build.
